Chocolate “Ice Cream” for Breakfast

Chocolate ice cream pops for breakfast? Sure! This healthy version gives you a sweet start to the day. Perfect for a summer treat, too!

You can whip up a batch of this quickly and the best part is that it’s kid-approved.

All Natural Chocolate “Ice Cream”

  • 2/3 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 pitted date
  • 1 tbsp. natural peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • unsweetened coconut flakes for garnish (optional)

Mix ingredients in a blender until smooth. Freeze, garnish with coconut then enjoy! (I place mine in cups with straws to create  popsicles.)

If you prefer a soft-serve type of texture instead of a pop, use frozen bananas in the recipe and skip the freezer. Your treat is ready to eat immediately!

If I were making these for only myself, I would replace the cocoa with chocolate protein powder.
